Bottom Up!: The architecture Festival in Turin from People for the People

The visual identity originates from the combination of institutional typography with Victoria Semykina’s naïve character illustrations. The illustrations play on the harmonious contrast of two colors and represent all types of people who experience a city, from ladies chatting to people walking their dogs
The simple stroke makes the language accessible to the general public while maintaining a rigorous creative study of shapes and subjects.
Concept and identity
The concept was designed inspired by what represents the beating heart of every city: the people who inhabit it. The corporate identity celebrates and enhances the role of citizens within different urban contexts.
The concept therefore links to the world of architecture in the most natural way imaginable by asking a fundamental question: what would architecture be without the people who give life to places?
2023 edition
The Second Edition also sports the mark of the same illustrator, Victoria Semykin, who was involved in creating ad hoc illustrations to value the festival, portraying not only citizens during everyday life moments but also specific places.
The banners, the decorations for the planters, the wrapping of a minibus, the paper program and the graphics for the monitors were created for the offline strategy, which served as on-site set-up..

The simple layout is functional to optimize the user experience by making the location of all information intuitive. All insights can be accessed from the homepage. The rich menu helps all types of users, from partners to participants, easily find content.
