Multipurpose sport center for bodyweight exercises.

This is Life is a sport center where the physical activity is dedicated to bodyweight exercises. Pilates, yoga, pole dance, antigravity and fit boxe courses. The activity is performed weights and machines free, with the only involvement of ropes and punching boxes.
This is Life is a place of recreation, balance, passion, expression and relax, in Turin.
Spaces and atmosphere
The project takes place in the requalification of a 450 mq building, setting of the once Agenzia LaPresse. The spaces have been shaped in a way to guarantee the execution of the activities and of the offered services. On the ground floor are located: the Gym, Studio and reception, as well as the main services. The biggest room is equipped with a great stacking partition which allows spaces to be flexible and dynamic based on the activities taken.
At the end of a long corridor a smaller waiting room precedes the area dedicated to massages and other treatments, distributed in four different rooms. On the lower floor an additional space for activities is situated, as well as changing rooms, restrooms and utility rooms.
Atmosphere
The aim of the design project was to create a relaxed and familiar atmosphere where the customer can dedicate some time for himself. Swinging on the antigravity hammocks, working off their stress and anger on fighting sports, relaxing with yoga, toning up their muscles with pole dance or vaulting on circles.
A floor made of hexagonal tiles, on grey tones, welcomes the customer and goes along to the reception. White walls, wooden pavements and a technical lighting system are the expression of freshness and give breath to the atmosphere in a perfect outcome with the design concept expressed in the intro.
